EXPORTING INK TO ITCH.IO

Exporting Ink to web & uploading to itch.io

We’re going to export your games to itch.io together at the start of class.

Here’s a guide to exporting your Ink story/game to web and uploading it to itch.io (link).

After testing your uploaded files to ensure that they work, post your itch.io link to this spreadsheet.

Important: Please set visibility & access to Public and keep comments on (under Community) for this playtest. You can change this to Restricted later. People will not be able to leave comments if the itch.io page is restricted.

Let’s play your games!

Guidelines for feedback

Here are some simple guidelines for feedback:

Homework (Over the next two weeks)

Play Citizen Sleeper

Play at least 2 hours of Citizen Sleeper by Gareth Damian Martin. Feel free to play more if you like.

Note: This game costs about $20, but…

  1. We have a copy on the PC in the Game Lab (D220) that you can play. Manage your time if you decide to do this.
  2. It’s currently on sale at GOG until This Friday (10/24) for $5.99.

Now what??

Take notes. What did you like? Dislike? Something that caused a reaction in you? Something you didn’t understand? Favorite moments?

Come to class in two weeks with a two open-ended discussion questions related to your experiences playing the game. There is a Canvas assignment to submit your thoughts.
